When I learnt how to read, everything that can be read drew my eyes – name boards, stray magazines, television advertisements, “STICK NO BILLS”, calendars, etc. I was much older when I discovered that not all of them were worth reading; in fact, a precious little of them were. Later, I found better things to read and was naturally attracted towards books.
I read everything that I could lay my hands on, as long as I could keep that up – philosophy, crime, classics, humour, fantasy, more fantasy and assorted things that go by those names and was soon avoiding certain authors and genres that didn’t seem to agree with me much. Now I’ve come to the Douglas-Adams-and-Lewis-Caroll stage.
Books were my first love – there might come a point of time when I lose interest in computers. While this does not imply that I’ve read many books, when I think of having a lot of money or an invisible cloak, it is looting Landmark that comes to my mind first.
